My serious issues with narrow bars are the feeling of a twitchy steering that I don't have leverage over. I feel very insecure on a bike with narrow bars, for instance any roadbike with drops. Hence I've always ridden with flat bars on my bikes.
But maybe I should give it a try and ride it daily.
I know what you mean. Very little bar movement = significant affect on steering. Wide bars slow that down. I don't like my hands in a position narrower than my shoulders, feels unnatural. Exactly like you, it feels twitchy.
