Its rider _does_ want to swap it out for a B17. :-)

Being an early-90's MTB, the seat-clamp ears are large and flat to accept a special short QR like this one. I'm not sure who needs to adjust their saddle height that often, but it comes in handy when I want to ride the bike -- I just raise the saddle about 4". (It doesn't fit great like that, but it gets the job done.)

Does anybody know why they started putting quick-release saddle adjustments on MTBs?
