I rode the C&O canal yesterday and got hammered by the massive thunderstorms. 70 miles from Brunswick to Williamsport and back. I was 12 miles from the end when the heavens opened up. I was using road tires but luckily most of the rain fell when I was finished with the dirt section and onto the grey cinders. The lightning and thunder were unreal.

nearing Williamsport

Some of the dirt/stone section of the trail before the rains

I had to take a dip in the Potomac before going home
