Chain Snapped?!
During this morning's ride in, I felt what I thought was a stiff link. Friction shifting on my 1988 Fuji Saratoga tourer, I couldn't seem to adjust out the sensation of skipping or jumping. Weird. So I continued and "light pedaled" my way in.
About a mile and a half from my work site, the chain let go completely. The quick link was gone. Fortunately, the chain doesn't seem to be bent, and the derailleur is okay. I guess that quick links do fail, but I would have said rarely-to-never.
