I could not keep up with intermediate girl riders with my KHS Alite 500 so i gave it to my son in law and got a Scott Spark 940, which is a full suspension 29 inch wheel bike. Now I am faster than the gals, and some of the guys. The new bikes make a BIG difference. I am over 65 so do not attempt the technical stuff the kids do, but i do love the single track trails. Don't give up - Adapt!!!
