I am still a curmudgeon in training and just rebuilt my Peugeot AO8 with new fixed wheels which are lighter and have the same gearing as the previous coaster equipped wheelset... the bike just got much more fun to ride.
Screw the variable gears...
For Tom... it runs a 70 gear inch drive that I can pedal with one leg if I have to.
