I assume you are using it to navigate ?, when it tries to tell you to U-Turn ?. Garmins suck at knowing what to do when you go off course, really. I will often use it to direct me in areas I’m not familiar with, then if I’m back where I know the area and route, I shut off navigation. I can always restart when I am not sure.

It’s been a really mild winter but has rained a lot. Last Wed., Thurs., Friday, Monday and yesterday, etc.....beats snow though. Likely to be great mt, biking this weekend.
