I have a new indonisia made 7710 and a second hand japan made 6500, use a 7701 crankset. BB 7710 is heavier, but it's all SS, 6500's locking ring is AL, so 7710 is more robust.
I change the BB because mine making noise 'ta ta ta' when I climb up hard. I disassemble the 6500, the bearing ball had some scratch on it. 7710 still have little noise, but not 'ta ta ta ' and allmost none. It seem the crank problem
