I heard they were heavier but wanted a durable wheelset for training and have seen people using them so I took the leap. I'm going to invest in a nicer wheelset for racing. Those wheels are just fine. You'll use them for years to come! I had some Velocity Pro Elite (tubular version of the Deep V rim) for years until I recently traded them to a buddy. I still have some clincher Deep V rims that I need to re-lace up to some hubs one day.
