It's crazy but a tree behind my apartment is showing signs of budding. My family in New York, who are farmers, dread early warm days which trick trees into budding early only to be followed by frost that kills off those buds.
In other news, though I no longer ski, I've always enjoyed the pond skimming contests at ski slopes held at the tail end of winter. I may drive north to the slopes for a bowl of nachos, (my cholesterol is a bit low) a local brew and watch the pond skimming.
