When I started working in a hospital many years ago, the docs would sometimes order a "
GI cocktail" to distinguish angina from GI upset. Nowadays, EKG and blood tests (Troponin, CK, CK-MB) are faster and more reliable tests. When in doubt, go to the ER, especially if you have any personal or family history of cardiac problems.
