Guess I wasn't clear on that. Chain and seat stays are steel while the head tube, BB and all lugs are aluminum. I initially thought everything painted black was steel. Between the 4130 fork and 28c tires it rides vibration free and comfortable. It does get too twitchy above 30mph though.
