Under one hour I can ride about any saddle, over 3 hours and most start to hurt the set bones. One memorable 5 hour ride on a super light saddle (not cheap!) where ass_fire became a reality, I could not even sit on the saddle the last hour. After that experience it has been brooks saddles all the way for me even though they are pretty heavy and not cheap. I like how each one breaks in differently (oddly enough).

For cheap I find the base nashbars to be pretty good and used them on flipper rebuilds a few times. But man do I have a box of cheapass saddles from old projects. Some are plastic hard, some are hemorrhoid seat soft but all hurt after an hour. I could not even put some of them on the lowliest frankenbuilds!
