When I was young:
I thought I was stupid.
I didn't think I would amount to much.
I wasn't sure about myself.
I didn't care much about what people thought.
I love birthdays.
I thought that I'd live forever.
As I get older:
I don't think I'm THAT stupid.
I've amounted to something.
I care what people think, but not to the point of anguish.
I don't think I'll live forever.
I still love birthdays.
Now:
I'm definitely not THAT stupid.
My successes are not defined by what I do, but by how I accomplish things with the people that count.
I know I won't live forever.
I still love birthdays, so much so that I celebrate for several days.
I'm sure that I'm insane and don't care.
