Marcus is right. I have them on my older cross bike (cantilever brakes)...they were a nice convenience which I thought I’d miss when I bought a new bike that didn’t have them, but it turns out I appreciated the uninterrupted bar space even more...made attaching a bike computer & headlight mount easier.
