I laugh at this, but then, my favorite clothes are the ones my 86 year old mother has purchased for me....as gifts. Not a big shopper myself, so it seldom occurs to me that I need a new whatever it is in off-the-bike clothing. Appreciate that I have one parent left with good taste in clothes, lol. I mostly buy cycling/equestrian clothing, ha.

On topic comment for the OP, Darn Tough wool socks have no seam at the toe box. Wear forever, and they make an over the ankle height. They are not cycle specific, but are geared towards running/athletics. I've been using their heavier wool mid calf for several seasons. No signs of wear, and they just work....fabulously. Darn Tough
