Wife and I did a nice hilly ride around COS (slow - I'll blame it on altitude rather than weight).
Those deer though are a hazard. We must have passed 5-6 mini heard of 3-4 eating the locals yards. They dart out in front of cars, bikes all the time. They are like squirrels or rabbits but not as smart. We are coming down a 3% grade maybe doing 30 and I see one right next to the road and have to slow to 10mph.
But I didn't know about Fiesta Island. Been there many times - me, wife and junior.
Since the velodrome is not terribly close, I will often do track bike workouts in a local business park on the weekends - when there is no car traffic. But all the deer I see there scare the crap out of me.
