I had just started using strava and when this challenge popped up, I decided I would go for the 500 miles. At the time this was huge challenge for me, and I was determined to get it done. I would ride twice a day, 10 miles in the morning and 10 miles at night. About half way through the month my first walmart bike broke so I lost about 5 days. Then when I was at mile 498 I got a flat. I walked home and for another two hours proceeded to ride as far as I could before it would go flat, then pump it back up.
Pretty stoked that the challenge is back, it really pushed me to get into this sport. This year I only have 12 days off, so it will be a bit of a challenge, but the goal is to hit 500 again.
That is some dedication!

This year it should go more smoothly for you.
