I bought an identical bike to this when I was in the Army in Germany in 1972 thru the French military Post Exchange that was located in the same town I was stationed, Kaiserslautern. Except it was a 23" frame. The model was called a PX8. Same color, components, fenders, rack and lights … with yellow bulbs, of which I think I still have a couple. It cost $60! Several of the guys stationed in our unit bought Peugeots thru the French PX while there. That's where I taught myself how to use and shift gears. And that you don't climb a hill on the 52-14 sprockets.
