Took this on its first proper ride today, it was flawless. This came to me as a super-beat 3x8, had to use a torch to get the bb off, etc. So much fun, totally changes the MTB experience. No issues at all with the chain—and it was pieced together with about half an old (but good) 8s chain and a bunch of leftover links I’ve stockpiled from other builds! The 32t is what was on there with the triple, and I sprung for a new Shimano 16t bmx cog. 25lbs.
