haha, 30 is still quite young in my books. As for the bike situation, the Y26 is a toy. I have no personal experience with it, but the consensus of this forum is that this bike is no good. There are really no suggestions for a full suspension rig at $500. Maybe a used bike? I'm not sure how much you are considering a hardtail, but I highly recommend a Rockhopper. It fits your budget and is a very good bike...FAR much superior than the Y26.
