TimmyT, thanks for the replies -- sounds like cases of failure are fairly isolated in example. Stiff power transfer would be welcome. My Columbus SLX bike, sweet as it rides, gets pretty flexy when really applying the torque! (And I'm hardly breaking any wattage records...)
