Did you read the thread from Apple forum? It is specifically people using Wahoo trainers and sensors. If Apple TV is older then the newest 4k then you can connect 3 bluetooth devices but you can not use more then 1 simultaneously. So using say the Kickr and a HR sensor at the same time won't work. If you already own the Apple TV there is obviously no harm in trying it out but if you are planning on using multiple sensors via bluetooth it may be an issue
