And you are correct, its about 10mm wider, but I decided to listen to Compass and try 45mm..can't hurt..plus if i can truly fit 32mm then that's even better

No, I have a "Vulcan"(soon to be on the road). I think it has less clearance than these others, 28 max. They could not make it wider with the curly stays, for some reason. I would have set it wider if it was an option, but I've usually settled for 28's anyway, even when I could have gone bigger, like on the LHT.
