Watched Murder on the Orient Express and Dunkirk last night.

For the first film, I thought Branagh's and Ridley's performances were very good while the remaining cast were simply caricatures. True, Poirot's moustache was a caricature and early distraction, but he made up for it with acting. Perhaps a cast of caricatures is the point of the movie? I guess 7.5 out of 10 stars.

For the second film, I found it very interesting watching the two soldiers doing everything they can to get to England.

Thomas Hardy's Spitfire was a magical beast. It never ran out of ammo, was the most fuel miserly fighter aircraft known to man, when out of fuel, had a 1000 to 1 glide ratio, and when set on fire to evade capture, it was revealed to have no engine at all. I suppose it was powered by angels.

Anyway, I'll give Dunkirk 8 out of 10 stars.
