As long as you have a little air in it as you install it, it shouldn't be boogered up at all.

Easier, much easier if it’s not inflated to fully round ahead of installation. And they leak CO2 like crazy. Latex in the flat kit is on the do-not-try list.
Would something like a Conti SuperSonic be a better idea? And yeah, I always have some air in the tube during install. And no CO2.
