I've hit the wall with this mess. I once objected to the Downtube owner being so hard on Tern, but I was wrong, he was right. Tern had a serious problem with their frames at inception, and clearly still doesn't know exactly how bad it is. Based on this I have no reason to believe they actually know why the frames failed, or if they've fixed the problem on 2015 bikes. No Terns for me.
