My little tracking spreadsheet for TSS by zone also has my max power per ride for 5s through 1 hour. It claims that my max 5 sec power in the last year was 1163. I'll usually crack 1000 for 5sec power once a week. Either to beat a stop light or at the end of the group ride.
It was going to storm locally one night a few weeks ago so kept it in the hood and did some sprints up the street. Trainingpeaks says 10sec at 955 and 12sec at 872.
I don't really "train" my sprint. I just do a couple a week during an easier ride out of boredom. I'll do some squats/sled for 10 minutes once a week. That's it.
Maybe I should cruise Craigslist for a crit bike and take that on next year.
