My bike was assaulted.
At least that's my best theory.
As reported in 'Weekend rides' thread, I parked my bike around the corner of the country store,
& it was laying on the ground 15 or 20 mins later. Didn't think anything of it, but saw the damage while
uploading pics (I was trying to get a picture of my socks). The blow came from the top, so I don't see
how it could have happened from the bike simply falling over.
Anyway, now what? Got things dialed, so not in a hurry to upgrade. It's a 2007 S works Tarmac, but NOS in 2013. Doesn't sound bad tapping on the tube.
Options:
- Put some tape on it.
- Strip the frame down & send it off to Ruckus
- Buy a replacement frame i.e. used 2017 S Works for $1800- local
- Get some exotically hip new bike
