Hermes, it is interesting and speaks to the community when I can say that I've met and/or know many of the people, men and women, who own national and world records on the track. I've had opportunity to speak with some of the them about those rides, too.
I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't comparing some of those times to the early ones that I've managed. I also did notice some "holes" in the age categories.
I love this sport, and community is one of the biggest reasons that I do. And that I participate at all.
