I had a brown Super Course with that same crank. In the hills of the Bay Area, the thing flexed like a hula dancer. Had to replace with 600EX crank. Fixed most of the flex issue. Certainly a great riding bike.
Is the Shimano 600 EX a direct replacement? I should ask what else does it need? I do like the looks of that crank....
