After missing a commute day on Wednesday due to snow, and spending a good deal of time slipping/sliding my way home on Friday evening, I broke down and bought studded tires today. They are Kenda Klondikes - I intended to buy Nokians but the shop was out and offered these to me instead. I figured I would give them a try, especially since I had them mount them on an additional wheelset, so I don't need to run them full-time. The only downside is that I got a 40mm for the back and my existing PB fender wouldn't fit - so I had to remove it and reinstall a cheesy seat post fender. If this becomes an issue I may seek out on of the new Nokian A10 tires in a 32mm, as they are much shorter/thinner.
