The problem with chopping off the switch is that I can no longer charge devices, which is one of the advantages of this light.
My Luxos also worked fine after drying out, the first time. After getting deluged again, it never dried out enough before I took it in for repair. Heh, I wonder if they just used a hair dryer to get it "fixed".

I guess if we have to ride in the rain, fashion a waterproof cover for the handlebar button that will prevent water from getting in.
