I’m really glad that I found this thread. I’ve always had absolutely best results from having a steady carb fuel whether I’m sipping a soda over the course of 2 hours along with eating a bite of whatever I picked that day every 15-20’. But I have been reading so many things and some sources admonish carbs, some have said try to get into ketosis. I have not tried anything on long rides but on short rides I’ve been water fasting myself and I’ve noticed my recovery times between rides has gone to crap.
