wow! good for you. I got back into cycling this spring, 2020, bc both my gym closed and Folly Beach, actually all beaches, were closed to non-residents. So no surfing either. I am 67, former USCF racer in MA/RI, late 70s-1987. Knee surgery ended my racing career.
Having subscribed to a bunch of cycling stuff on Instagram, I saw, for the first time in the five years i have lived in Charleston, SC, there is a velodrome in Rock Hill, SC! A three hour ride for me, but I had to meet the challenge of riding on a track.
So I joined USAC (they found my old info!) but am Cat 5 having never ridden track. Which is totally fine, i doubt I will do very well, but that is not the point. Having a goal and reason to train is the carrot on the stick for me.
