I never knew these things existed, but it makes sense. In the past I'd approve follow requests from strangers not even in my city on Strava, and they'd almost immediately kudos every ride I did. They'd be following several thousand people, and usually have a similar but smaller number of people following them. I guess it's all "kudos farming" in some sort of perverse effort to build a "brand" as a social media bike person.

Anyway, on Zwift... as others have said, it's just as hard as an outdoor ride and it's recently a necessity given that I have to watch our infant while my wife sleeps and I ride the trainer before work. Rather get some work inside in than no work at all, and it has the added benefit of actually usually being a better workout since there aren't any interruptions.
