pain management and bicycling are a tough mix. It's like a catch-22. pain can make hard to focus enough to ride, and that's if you can overcome it enough to be motivated to try. OTOH - most pain killers that are effective, affect you in other ways and riding a bicycle falls into the "run machinery or drive..." catchall that you shouldn't do.
