Ugh, that super sucks. The housing market in Chicago seems to be absurdly hot right now (where are people getting all this money??). People making blind offers left and right on properties they haven't even set foot in.
Hopefully there's a silver lining here in that the house you do end up in will be even better than the one you didn't get.
