Lots of dudes with trucks and bolt cutters. Angle grinders too for that matter. But a dedicated thief might think 4 seconds was an acceptable risk for a KiloTT whereas 45 seconds to angle grind something was not. I agree that if OP was going to lock the bike to that pole at all there wasn't much he could have done better, but you can't blame people for looking at it and thinking that it would be easy to steal.
