I don’t quite get it. Some of the carbon is heavier than steel, ie 25+ lbs. so low end carbon (Domane, etc) is just marketing hype. Have I considered some new stuff? Yes. But at this point if I buy new I found a custom made to order TI frame I would go with, or if I need to cut cost by $1300 then go with steel. To each their own.
