I'm in the market for a new bike and test rode Di2. I didn't like it maybe because I wasn't used to it. Or, as a Mechanical Engineer, I guess I appreciate the simplicity and feel of conventional shifting over soulless button pushing
Besides, you can always ride a bike with mechanical shifting if the apocalypse occurs
