I have a cycleops hammer (gen 1) and I consider it one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's so solidly reliable and from my perspective is better than wahoo products. Tacx and Elite might be worth looking at for their direct drive options as well, Tacx Neo of course is a premium product and I find Elite makes so many new products that I'm not sure how good their ongoing support for products is (Saris/Cycleops has made improvements to the original Hammer, but I believe they've all been on essentially the same firmware since the original came out in 2016). Anyhow, I wholeheartedly recommend Saris as a great option.
