It's a small.price to pay, for good braking performance.
A set of Shimano JO2A disc brake pads is about $17, and I go through 4-5 sets per year. I don't care about the cost, if my brakes work great when I need them.
Absolutely, I don't mind at all, they stop great and that's all that matters.
