I miss restaurants the most! The food scene was amazing. I rode a lot just to keep the weight off. Even the food trucks/carts served up tasty dishes.
When I graduated, J&R was still open. It's where I loved browsing the aisles. Got all my music CDs from J&R.
Fortunately, I never had a bike stolen, either in LA or NYC. I was pretty paranoid about someone stealing my bike in NYC, and I'm still careful in LA. I keep my most prized bikes in the house, rather than in the garage.
