I also commute in a velomobile, and a recumbent. I check weekly. Every sunday evening, I go spend ~20 minutes in the garage putting air in the tires, giving them a quick (about 90 secs/tire) check of the tread and walls, air in the airhorn, air in the shocks, and a quick wipedown of the large surfaces.
