I think I can end up with 2-3mm; so far, I've just been staying out of the 6th cog, which is not a problem on flattish trails. The dropouts are Colombus forged horizontals.

I don't recall seeing one but, when playing with the axle washers, I'll be removing the freewheel and if I see one...
