i've bought several bikes that the previous owners just let rot. that's more of a travesty than mounting a kickstand, i guess. it takes a ton of work to refurbish a bike with lots of rust damage. these people should have been tarred and feathered at some point. or caned, whatever. i don't have one particular go-to as far as adequate punishment.
