That was always the plan for this week, but I was staying quiet in case something happened. But, with a week of vacation and nowhere to go, and no other goals at all, I wanted to get in a solo century.
Woke up at 1am with a sore throat, too, but it seems to have been postnasal drip from allergies because as soon as I cleared it out it felt better, and woke up fine.
But that heat though...
Guess it's a big week all around!
Yeah, I was pretty much riding to previous plan, too. I was hoping to get in a 200k, but was thinking that my wife might need to be on-call today. Fortunately (?) the storm actually knocked out the connection to their server and she couldn't do anything anyway, so the 200k was on. Other than a headwind for the last 50+ miles (
), the weather was perfect.
