Oh, one thing that wasn't perfect on the day - at about mile 25 I saw the glint of a little patch of glass. I swerved and thought that I'd missed it all, but I heard a psst - psst - psst immediately thereafter.
Pulled over to make sure that there wasn't debris still stuck in there and to check the size of the cut. It was clear and a decent size, but not big enough to need a plug. Spin the wheel, let it seal and then gave it a few pumps at my planned pee break a mile later. Probably didn't even need to do that, it felt like it was only slightly lower than the front tire, but since there was another 100+ miles in front of me, I thought it better to take the 30 seconds and make it right.
