Are you in Arizona, by chance? I just looked up big cats in Arizona this morning, because I heard one around 4:00 this morning. I see both bobcats & pumas are "prevalent" throughout the state, and there are also jaguars, though not as common. 😲
Boy, I need to reconsider cowboy camping, the way I do so much. 🙄 I'm pretty lucky, in some ways, and take it for granted, I guess. 😉
